Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum: Champions of Faith, Family, and Freedom

Why Christian Conservatives Should Strongly Consider Supporting them for President of the United States

For a quarter-century, Governor Mike Huckabee and Senator Rick Santorum have been at the forefront of the American conservative movement. Since Ronald Reagan left the White House in 1989, no two persons in elective public office have done more to protect innocent human life in the womb, preserve marriage as the union of one man and one woman, and defend religious liberty as have Governor Huckabee and Senator Santorum.

In many ways, Governor Huckabee and Senator Santorum would be the dream ticket for the Christian conservative movement. Both men are committed to overhauling the nation’s tax code and regulatory system, streamlining the federal government, reigning in the federal judiciary, sending power back to the states, securing America’s borders, strengthening the nation’s military and intelligence capabilities, crushing Islamic terrorism, and restoring America’s role as the moral, economic, and unchallenged military leader of the world.

Moreover, both men have embodied the integrity and character that America needs in the White House. Each is deeply committed to the lordship of Jesus Christ, each loves his family, each serves his church, and each loves his neighbor as himself. Governor Huckabee and Senator Santorum represent all that is good and true and honorable about American public life. And those who have worked beside them as fellow governors or fellow senators have never once called them untrustworthy, duplicitous, opportunistic, arrogant, divisive, or self-righteous. Instead they have commended them for their humility, thoughtfulness, and genuine kindness.

Simply put, Governor Mike Huckabee and Senator Rick Santorum have been models of Christian statesmanship for 25 years, not only during their distinguished public service careers, but also as private citizens advancing the principles of virtue, liberty, justice, peace, and prosperity.

As Republicans prepare to vote in their state’s caucuses or primary election, Christians who value the ideals of faith, family, and freedom should give strong consideration to voting for Governor Mike Huckabee or Senator Rick Santorum. As mature, seasoned, and effective domestic and foreign policy leaders, each man would make a fine president; and each would advance the moral principles that can renew America as a beacon of virtue, liberty, and justice to the world.
