Bad times. Sad times. Learn, live, hope — keep on learning.

In these times of natural disasters and national emergencies — it is all too easy to keep looking back, to go over and over the awful stories of loss and destruction. We can’t change those scenarios now. We certainly cannot prevent them in the future. Things are going to go wrong; tragedies are going to happen. Their closeness to us is only a matter of degrees. But if they happen to one of us, they impact all of us.

The “what if” and “if only” will not change the outcome. The only value that we can gain from past events is that they can inform our choices for the future. They can also help us to learn the best lesson in life: now-ness!

“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.” Albert Einstein
