Florida vote —“no” to proposal making rooftop solar power more difficult!

The utility industries presented a very deceptive legislative proposal to Florida voters at the November election. The amendment to existing laws would have made it more difficult and expensive for individual households to install rooftop solar power systems. In the Sunshine State!

More than 200 organizations and thousands of citizens worked together to defeat the proposal. Many elected officials from all parties joined in the coalition, in support of expanded solar power. In the state where there are hours of sunshine on most days, expansion and improvement of solar energy installations seem like natural solution to the power challenges that are coming for all of us.
