“Knowledge speaks, but wisdom listens.” Jimi Hendrix
Several things that I have heard and read today make me more committed than ever to talking less, and listening more.
It seems almost eerie that I ran across: “Knowledge speaks, but wisdom listens,” a quotation attributed to Jimi Hendrix, on the same day that I heard an interview with Nate Boyer about his Open Letter. He spoke movingly about his military career and his athletic experiences, and closed with: “I’m just going to keep listening, with an open mind.” https://www.armytimes.com/articles/nate-boyer-colin-kaepernick-commentary-flag-national-anthem-protest-nfl
I believe that Jimi really said: “Knowledge speaks, but wisdom listens.” He was different in many ways from others of his generation; his giftedness transcends imagination. He made such wise and profound statements, that it is totally believable that he made this one too.
