The three books that helped me to understand and know how to eat raw foods and sprout

When I was studying how to eat a raw vegan diet it, I was overwhelmed on how to start.

This was 19 years ago, and the information available on this was not as widely available as present day.

But after some research I found these three books that gave me all I needed to know, to get started, simply and quickly.

These books teach what the raw vegan diet is and the basics, plus how to add living sprouts and micro-greens to your diet.

Raw Energy Food Combining Diet — Leslie Kenton

This was the first book I read on the raw living food diet and food combining.

Food combining is important in the first stages of adding raw foods to your diet, to ensure you don’t get nasty digestive issues, whilst the body adjusts to this new way of eating, and for optimal digestion.

Recipes for Longer Life — Ann Wigmore

This is a brilliant book and one of the first books I read on sprouting and the raw living food diet.

Ann Wigmore introduced the raw living food diet to the world and also the method of sprouting, so this book is the bible to study and learn all about this diet and lifestyle.

The Sprouting Book — Ann Wigmore

This book was my first book on sprouting.

Its by Ann Wigmore again. It’s a great book as Ann not only tells you how to sprout but why we should sprout.

A good resource of nutritional information and well worth the read.
