Enjoyed this compilation and thank you for bringing back so many memories. I remember where I was when I learned Aaliyah died, in the way that our parents remember where they were when Dr. Martin Luther King or JFK died. She personified Black Girl Magic before it was a thing. Beautiful to read about the different impacts she had on so many of us.
