Create Things Just Because You Wanna

Software is making it incredibly easy to sell online.

Shopify, SimpleGoods, Gumroad, TypeForm & Squarespace are just a few services which come to mind right away. They take minutes to set up and you can start taking money without worrying about payment systems.

Yesterday, I took a leap and submitted a t-shirt design to CottonBureau. It’s a site that lets designers sell their err… designs on tees.

My happy cloud tee.

It’s not something I’d usually do, but it was mega quick to whip up a quick happy cloud and submit it. I’m not expecting big things or much (if any) money, but it’s an experiment to see if people would actually buy my design.

I’ve taken a lot of inspiration from He travels around the world creating awesome projects, and I’d love to do the same.

I’ll be heading to Berlin in a week with Jake, where we’ll be living for a month. We’ll then head off to another European city. We might head off to Asia in the new year.

While I’ll still be dedicating the majority of my time to HelpDocs, I think it’ll be interesting to create, learn, and focus some spare time on other things.

I think it’ll sprout new inspiration and ideas for my life.

Many of the things we don’t do are because we’re worried about what other people will think. It’s time to take a dip into the pool of uncertainty, because nothing happens if you don’t give it a go.

I’m writing about something that interests me every day for a year. This is day 66 of 365. ✌️
