Creating a Company Newsletter That Isn’t All About You

Ah man, company newsletter suck, don’t they? I mean, the majority of them time it’s all about them. Just them.

Their product.

Their news.

Their latest content.

But it really doesn’t have to be that way. It should be more about sharing industry news and content their readers may enjoy even if it’s not their own.

No wonder the open & click rate of email is quite so bad (software industry open rates are a poor 2.35%).

SaaS products like Revue and Curated make it super easy for you to collect and curate articles as you come across them. Why not share them out with your subscribers?

So before you hit ‘send’ for your next newsletter, consider making it useful for your readers. Give ‘em content they’ll love instead of just making it all about you.
