Don’t Let Work Make Your Life Boring

Leading an interesting life is difficult, more so when work is all-consuming. But work doesn’t have to be the most boring thing in your life. Make use of the time at work to make the rest of your life a little more interesting.

I’ve already spoken about my fear of calls. But since easing myself into it, I’ve found it’s actually pretty enjoyable to speak to someone on the other end of the phone. It’s making me a better founder.

We’ve not hired for HelpDocs yet, but I’m sure we’ll arrange a retreat of some sort in the future. I hope when we build our team, we’ll all get along. I know it won’t be easy to bring together a collection of people for the first time (and get them to work together), but I’m looking forward to it.

I hope they don’t let the work they do bore them, and I hope we can make their lives a little more interesting and rich. Leading a rich life doesn’t mean having a large figure in your bank account.

What I’m saying is, take advantage of your work. Make sure you make the most of the opportunities given to you, especially if it makes you life less boring.
