Drawing upon nearly 20 years’ experience in specialized branding and event-planning in the motorsport industry, Jason Altzman serves as managing principal of Aero Marketing Group. In addition to his professional pursuits, Jason Altzman maintains an active lifestyle through his interest in snowboarding.

Since debuting in the 1998 Nagano Games, snowboarding has become entrenched as an Olympic sport with additional events like parallel giant slalom and snowboard cross added to the program. The halfpipe competition, however, has been held every four years since 1998 and, entering the 2018 Olympics, Americans have won gold in three of the five Games.

Seventeen-year-old American Chloe Kim entered the 2018 Games as the overwhelming favorite and cruised to a gold medal win with an impressive score of 93.75 in her first of three runs. Liu Jiayu of China scored 89.75 in her third and final run, but that was as close as anyone would come to the first-time Olympian. Still, Kim put an exclamation mark on her gold medal with a score of 98.25 in her third run after completing back-to-back 1080s. …
