I, and many other Americans, use my cell phone to make money.

I agree 200% that smartphones are a modern marvel. I love mine. I also loved mine when I had no business spending that much money on one. The cell phone is an example. Of a big problem with our culture. We all have things we “can’t live without” but really don’t need.

Please read the numbers I posted about the 56.3 billion dollars spent on smartphones each year.

There have been a great shift over the last generation. When I was first married, We spent about $30 on cable, $20 on internet and another $20 on a phone. Now we spend $60 on internet, $15 for hulu and netflix and our cell phone bill is over $200 a month. I wouldn’t change it for the world. It’s great.
