On April 22, 2019, the Boards of Trustees of Medicare and Social Security issued the 2019 ANNUAL REPORT OF THE BOARDS OF TRUSTEES OF THE FEDERAL HOSPITAL INSURANCE AND FEDERAL SUPPLEMENTARY MEDICAL INSURANCE TRUST FUNDS.

If the health sector cannot transition to more efficient models of care delivery and if the provider reimbursement rates paid by commercial insurers continue to be based on the same negotiated process used to date, then the availability, particularly with respect to physician services, and quality of health care received by Medicare beneficiaries would, under current law, fall over time compared to that received by those with private health insurance.” — CMS Annual Report, Introduction on page 2 (emphasis added).

As the New York Times reported, “An annual government report on the status of the programs painted a dire portrait of their solvency that will saddle the United States with more debt.”

Our irresponsible federal government representatives have sacked current and future generations with a national debt of over $22 TRILLION and over $100 TRILLION in unfunded liabilities, which includes Medicare.

So let me get this straight. The current model is unsustainable. If we keep going the way we’re going, Medicare beneficiaries will suffer more than those with private health insurance. And the answer proposed by the Democrats? They want to outlaw private health insurance and force everyone onto the failing Medicare system instead.

Summary: government bureaucrats created a plan that’s insolvent, cripples taxpayers with debt, will lead to lower quality care with limited availability, and is not as good as private health insurance.

Democrats: let’s put everyone on that crappy plan and outlaw the good one.

Proposed programs with focus-group-tested names like Medicare for All, Medicare Buy In, Medicare at 50 will lead to a massive single-payer government takeover of the nation’s healthcare system.

Transitioning to Medicare For All is said to cost $32 TRILLION. AOC’s answer to the massive price tag? “You just pay for it,” she says.

Oh, okay. Thanks, genius.

The trustees warned if healthcare doesn’t move to a more efficient model, we’re fucked. Do people actually equate “government” with “more efficient model?”

This leads me to a serious question: who in their right mind can look at what the government has done to-date and trust them to manage healthcare for everyone???
