I Was Challenged to a Knife Fight

I am the designer of a game called Presidential Knife Fight and I was challenged to a real life knife fight by a guy on the internet.
In my 30 years of life, I have never been in a physical fight, but I chose to accept this challenge. Why? Because this is a matter of honor!
“What we didn’t account for, however, was the original poster coming at us with a fight challenge.”
You see, my game was partially inspired by a Reddit post by Zach Ehrlich from 2012 which asked who would win in a knife fight between all the US presidents. On a road trip from Northern to Southern California, my girlfriend and I discussed this query at length and eventually decided it would be an entertaining tabletop game.
We of course did our due diligence to make sure we could not be sued for using a vague question someone posted on the internet as the basis of a board game. What we didn’t account for, however, was the original poster coming at us with a fight challenge.
We Kickstarted Presidential Knife Fight in October 2016 and set forth with organizing mass production. Then on February 21st, 2017 (the day after President’s Day) I received an email and a public challenge from Zach politely requesting that I engage in hand to hand combat with him so that we can settle the matter.
“If someone from Reddit demands satisfaction in the form a knife fight, the most reasonable thing to do is fight them IRL .”
In his challenge Zach stated “I want to make it clear that Luke and I aren’t contacting you because we feel we’re entitled to some kind of redress… That having been said, we do consider this to be a matter of honor, and as honorable gentlemen, we feel there is only one civilized way for us to resolve our differences. To that end, we’d like to challenge you to an actual knife fight.”

So we are doing what anyone would do- If someone from Reddit demands satisfaction in the form a knife fight, the most reasonable thing to do is fight them IRL .
The day and the time of our duel is still being determined, but the venue will be somewhere in Washington State. Our council informed us of Washington state’s mutual combat law, which nullifies all charges of assault if both parties agree to engage in physical violence. If anyone knows an appropriate venue for a fight between two grown men over a Reddit thread in Seattle, please email us at info@pkfgame.com.
See you on the dueling ground Zach.
