• Point72’s CEO Steven Cohen placed a quarter billion on Do-It-Yourself trading platform Quantopian, where amateur traders can develop their trading algorithms.

Japan plans to issue 50-year bonds

• Japan targets on extreme stimulus actions by issuing long-term bonds extended 50-year. This is regarded as “helicopter money” by markets.
• Yen dropped 1.1% against US Dollar. Partly because of this stimulus report, while partly due to the optimistic expectations for US economy, which will make Fed increase rate this year.

Fed open the table for rate hike in September

• Fed did not raise rate on today’s conference, but said economic outlook is optimistic, which reserved option for rate hike in September
• Some analysts still think it’s unlikely for Fed to raise rate in September. What’s more, Fed is less likely to do rate hike also on November, which is a week before the election.
