Utilizing Azure Technology to start a journey…
What is a VM?
As the world of technology continuously evolves and progresses each day, we must adapt to an ever-changing environment.
Microsoft Azure gives companies the ability to deploy virtual machines across datacenters within various regions of the globe. These VMs are literally just like your at-home computer except, think of that computer being remote and, available anytime.
Where are they located?
There are 2 ways to access the VM initiation sequence, either through the top main page of your Azure Portal or on the side scroll bar.
A user can create a regular Azure Virtual Machine with no presets needed. The other options that are available are:
- Azure virtual machine with preset configuration
- Azure Arc virtual machine
- Azure VMware Solution virtual machine
Each of these have varying abilities when it comes to the creation of your Virtual Machine.
Creation of the VM
Here is the fun part..
We can personally customize the settings that make a VM function. These settings shall dictate how the VM is organized and how it shall internally function within out Azure interface.
Once you have tweaked the settings of your newly born VM, we can now go over how much our VM will cost us daily, as well as the technical information used to make the VM work.
Then we hit “Create.”
The process is complete. We now have a functioning and usable Virtual Machine ready to connect and get started up.
