Clash of Civilizations

The culmination of the clash of civilizations — between the consumer societies of modern states and that of conservation societies of indigenous nations — illustrates the tragic nature of the human experience. While plague, famine and war have traumatized all human societies at one time or another, the present clash of civilizations represents the modern inability of humans to reconcile their diametrically opposed cosmologies. This asymmetrical warfare — that favors consumer societies — is nearly over, after which only the timing of human extinction remains unknown.
