I fell I love with her as the sun rose on that magical day

Her smile, radiant like the morning dew

If only I knew it wouldn’t last the day, I would have spent more time savoring it

So when noon came, the sun didn’t dry your tears; it only widened the cracks in our love

Still we found a way to each other’s hearts

And when evening came, we danced in the rain and I’ve never seen you happier

I held you tight as we watched the sun go down for the last time

I’ll be with you forever, i promised as I kissed the last rays of the sun off your lips

But even in that moment I realized forever wasn’t a lifetime, it was only a feeling.
