I Was Chasing The Music and Found Something Else

If there is anything in the world that can give you joy in one moment, pain in the next and let your two left feet get in formation while you uptown funk the night away (see what I did there? Lol) its music. Music has been such a major influence in my life and I did not realize it until this past summer. It is funny how faith would have it and I would wind up seeing Chris Brown’s One Hell of a Night tour three times in one month! I mean three shows, 3 cities on both the east and west coast!

It wasn’t until I was organizing my mini collection of concert tickets that I realized I’ve seen my favorite artists live in concert in Miami, Philadelphia, D.C, LA, Tampa Bay, Even across the border in Ottawa Canada where I got to attend Ottawa Bluesfest and witness Kanye West in all his greatness. As you can probably tell by now, yes, I am a concert junkie and I’m not afraid to admit it!

It’s my love for music that brought me to all of those places with more destinations to come! This April I’ll be in New Orleans, LA.- “The Big Easy” as the locals call it for the annual Jazz and Heritage music festival. It will be my first time to the city. I can’t wait to go and share the experience and great findings with you all. My mouth is watering just thinking about those world-famous beignets from Café Du Monde. I bet that’s what heaven taste like, yum!

There’s three types of people in the world; The planners, the procrastinators and the spontaneous. Now for me I’m one of the spontaneous. “Wherever the wind blows” is my motto. I’m the last-minute traveler, sometimes even spur of the moment I find myself booking flights and making plans within days of deciding on a destination. Now for many people last minute travel is seen as nearly impossible and far too expensive. As for me however, last minute travel is not only a breeze thanks to my new found love of catching red-eyes but through what felt like a million hours of online research, I have acquired a very particular set of skills, skills that will introduce a new way of travel for you. I’m telling you I’ve learned the secrets Travelocity won’t tell you! From the most affordable times to fly, cheap airlines that still deliver quality service (sorry Spirit); I will even share tips on traveling abroad and ways to bring our favorite pets on board with us.

I invite you to come on the journey with me with hopes that this blog and my personal stories will inspire you to head on an adventure all your own. Who knows maybe you will share your stories with me one day on this very blog and inspire others the same way.

So pack your bags, keep your passport close and cheers to new adventures, travel tips and tricks!
