Dear Public Radio
I think it’s time to change things up.

Turn on your radio at any given moment at your more than likely to hear a hot club banger ,or a pop ballet of some sort. Now turn your radio off ,wait an hour, then turn it back on . Guess what it is? The same song you heard an hour ago. I’ve tired this before on multiple occasions and got the same results each time. This is to be expected since the radio’s main job is to give us what’s popular. Although public radio has been providing us with popular music/news for so long, it may be time for it to consider retirement.
If your one of those fancy folk out there who have satellite radio please leave immediately. This is not for you and I despise of your kind. If your an average joe with a Honda Accord and 2.5 plants then u might understand me. After television took the place of radio (further proof that television is out to destroy us). The radio became the preferred device of listening to popular music. Of course over time things changed. Different stations where created and different genres of music where advertised and it’s only gotten bigger since then.
Today the radio is endless pit of top 40 Jams and occasional 90s RnB hits. As music streaming services pop up “one after the other” the need for radio is diminishing.
If the radio was “altered” when television became popular, wouldn’t now be the time to change as services such as Pandora, Spotify and Apple Music are becoming mainstream.
Today the need for radio has become almost useless. There’s commercials, you can’t skip, songs you can’t escape from and there’s only so many stations you can pick from. It’s becoming the broccoli on the veggie tray, meaning only old people enjoy it. It’s been said that if you don’t bend you’ll break and public radio seems to be on the verge of breaking.
