Top 10 reasons the Clintons will start a war next year
It’s now clear that Hillary will be the next President of the United States. This means the Clintons will move quickly to start a major new war in 2017. Here’s why.
10. Hillary already told us she wants war.
In 2012, the United Nations tried to negotiate a ceasefire for the Syrian civil war. It was Secretary Clinton who blocked this, leading to escalation of the bloodshed and the crisis we see today. Since, during the Presidential campaign, Secretary Clinton has repeatedly called for a ‘no-fly zone’ over Syria. This insane plan would require shooting down Russian and Syrian planes, bringing the U.S. into direct conflict with Putin and his nuclear arsenal.
9. They need to avoid indictments and impeachment.
Even though the FBI destroyed evidence and immunized key suspects to cover up Clinton’s criminal national security breaches, the Republican Congress still have good reason to impeach her for this. In the meantime, as the email leaks reveal more and more questionable activity, the Department of Justice reportedly has another criminal investigation into the Clinton Foundation. By starting a war, the Clintons will make it politically impossible to impeach the Commander in Chief.
8. Hillary is escalating a nuclear stand-off.
After the email leaks, Hillary went to the American Legion to propose responding to unproven email ‘hacks’ with military force. More troubling, in that same speech, she says a upgrading our nuclear arms will be a top priority of her administration.
One of the first things I will do as president, is to call for a new nuclear posture review. We have to make sure that America’s arsenal is prepared to meet future threats.
This is unbelievably reckless considering that Mikhail Gorbachev, a senior NATO general, and the German foreign minister say we are already at the brink of a nuclear confrontation with Russia.
7. They want to win the midterms like Dubya.
The Clintons have toxic coattails for downticket candidates. Worse, Hillary’s idiotic strategy of embracing Republicans instead of tying them to Trump means that Democrats will not benefit as much from the Trump disaster. So the Clintons will be resented by their party, and unable to pass any center-left legislation (though they’ll be pushing center-right legislation successfully). Midterms generally favor the opposition party, with one exception: when the President is taking the country to war. Since it is politically harder to start a war during an election (Bush waited to start his second war until after the 2002 midterms), their best timing will be the Fall of 2017.
6. They can’t accept responsibility for stealing the primary.
After being caught orchestrating massive election fraud in collusion with the media and the Democratic National Committee, the Clinton campaign and state propagandists went into overdrive with the reckless, unproven claim that the emails came from Russian government hacks. This is disturbingly reminiscent of Dubya’s WMD baseless claims that also went unquestioned by the corporate propagandists. The recent announcement of a ‘clandestine cyberwar’ against Russia is just the most recent ominous sound of war drums.
5. It’s the perfect way to improve Hillary’s popularity.
Hillary’s unfavorability is above 50%, and 3/4 of Americans don’t trust her. However, as Dubya liked to remind us, the American public loves a ‘War President’. Starting a hot war — or dramatically escalating a new Cold War — is the only way Hillary Clinton can hope to win voters back. This will be most effective if she first lets an terrorist attack squeeze through.
4. It’s part of the Clinton political playbook.
The Clintons have a history of using military action to distract from scandal. In 1998, Bill Clinton ordered the bombing of a Sudanese pharmaceutical factory in part to distract from his affair with Monica Lewinsky, which was exploding. Destroying the new factory deprived thousands of Sudanese people of badly-needed medicines, part of the Clintons’ pattern of using death and destruction to distract from Bill’s sex life.
3. She’s started wars before.
In addition to rejecting the ceasefire in Syria, Hillary was the prime architect of the NATO bombing campaign in Libya, action that destroyed the Libyan state (which had been a US ally) and was a huge gift to ISIS. Meanwhile, Trump’s non-interventionist stance has pushed the war-loving neocons who brought us the Iraq War to embrace Hillary, their fellow Iraq War proponent. The leaked emails reveal her geopolitical mindset: she thinks the U.S. has a right to claim the world. With her longstanding passion for regime change and American hegemony—along with advise from likeminded neocons—war will be inevitable.
2. The Clintons’ donors want a lucrative return on investment.
Through their Foundation and in speaking fees Clintons have taken tens of millions of dollars from weapons manufacturers. These manufacturers, closely tied to Wall Street and the NRA, have already received a handsome return on the investment while Hillary was at State, in the form of increased arms deals approvals. However, these would pale in comparison to sales during a new major war, and the Clintons’ war profiteer friends won’t let them forget it.
1. They want to retain the White House in 2020.
Without a war, the Clintons will remain distrusted by the broader population, despised by rightwing and leftist activists. After more lost ground in the midterms, scandal fatigue and years of failed legislation, even centrists would tire of their lies and corruption. A war would transform this outlook, distracting from their corruption and remaking Clinton’s image. As poor and working class children are sent to Hillary’s new slaughterhouse, the corporatists, propagandists, war profiteers and gullible citizens will rally around this travesty to re-elect the “Warrior Queen.”
