Although yoga is usually not associated with singing, the activity can help practitioners improve their voice manipulation by strengthening the core muscles and increasing breathing capacity. Here are some of the top yoga poses for singers:

- Tadasana. Also known as the mountain pose, Tadasana involves standing with the back and legs in a straight line. This pose strengthens the legs and feet, promotes better singing alignment, and helps prevent vocal straining.

- Utkatasana. Good for increasing strength in the legs, the Utkatasana, or chair, pose boosts strength in the abdominal muscles and external intercostal muscles, which pull up the rib cage. This pose helps singers reach higher notes.

- Eagle arms. This breathing exercise helps individuals get breath into the upper back. Performing this pose helps singers hold unwavering notes.
