Excellent article MJ, I have no doubt that Apple has been looking very carefully at evolving business models in the Valley and beyond and making plans for new layers of “lock in” they can add to the walled garden. Who heads up their Services business anyway? They need a “Mickey Drexler” type in that role, as there is no doubt this continues to grow as their number two P&L.
One minor correction, buried deep within the Apple Music settings is an annual $99 option for Apple Music. You have to search for it, but it’s there.
