I commented back to Jordan Bray’s comment to Jaden Violet’s angry post about Holly Wood, PhD’s now self-deleted post celebrating McCain’s death:

This dude that you’re defending, Jordan, has been far more evil in his lifetime than Jeffrey Dahmer ever dreamed of being. I was able to read Holly Wood’s post, even though she had deleted it, because Google search had it cached.

From the perspective of a poor single mom who lost her 18-year-old son to the 2003 Iraq invasion and occupation, I think Holly Wood’s post made a lot of sense. Of course millions of working people wish ill on the assholes who are f*cking them over, making them go to work sick or with rotten teeth, and letting their husbands die of easily treated diseases!

Your hero graduated at the bottom of a huge class at Annapolis, and only avoided expulsion there by his father’s name. He crashed 4 Amerikan airplanes and was a liability, not a hero, in the Vietnam War. He was one of the main players in the Savings and Loan Scandal. He called his wife a c*nt on live microphone in front of the media, and he supported the biggest war crime in American history, resulting in the deaths of some 2 million people, not to mention the suffering of tens of millions of people and the dangerous destabilization of the world that we’re now dealing with. And he supported torture.

F*ck John McCain. Yes, he’s a father, a friend, a brother, whatever. And I feel for the people who will lose him. That’s their sad karma. Fate put them in contact with this bad Amerikan, who, admittedly, took a few principled stands. Jeffrey Dahmer wasn’t really that bad. At least he was into recycling, and he liked to eat organic meat.
