The Woman Card
Hillary Clinton will play whatever card she has to get what she wants. I think people have read the comment wrong, or maybe I did. Months ago, I accused Hillary of playing the “Woman Card”. When former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright made the comment, “There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t support [other] women”, that’s playing the [guilt]woman card. Mrs. Clinton has embraced it, and run with it! She and her campaign accused Senator Sanders of disrespecting her [as a woman] because he cut her off in a debate. IT’S A DEBATE! Donald Trump cuts people off and interrupts them all the time and no one accuses him of disrespecting ‘men’ because men are tough and it’s par for the course.
Mrs. Trump is right, if you want to be treated as an equal, don’t whine when you’re treated equally. If a world leader interrupts her or shuts her down in negotiations, will she say he’s sexist? What if the world leader is a woman? You cannot have it BOTH ways Mrs. Clinton.
If Barack Obama campaigned on the fact that he’s black and talked about it ALL the time, the media, talking heads, and everyone else would accuse him of playing the race card. Try this…Hillary Clinton: “If elected, women would make up half my Cabinet.” Now substitute the word Women for Black people. Now, use it in a sentence-
If elected, black people would make up half my Cabinet.
There’s a special place in hell for black people who don’t support other black people.
Everyone would have accused Barack Obama of “playing the race card” when in fact, neither of those examples is actually “playing the card”. The woman card is played when she “gets offended” if a man stands up to her, or challenges her on her bullshi*, or questions her judgment to be president.
The race card is different, because it NEVER got played by Obama but should have been. Racism is alive and well, so is sexism…it’s just not Hillary’s problem in this incident.
As a woman, I’m offended when she whines about Senator Sanders and Trump being mean to her when they are attacking her character as a politician. There are thousands of women being physically assaulted, sexually assaulted and emotionally traumatized by men who do assert power over them. And when they speak out, they are not playing some game to garner pity, they are spreading awareness to a real problem.
Is Hillary Clinton playing games with the American people? Absolutely! Is there sexism in this country? Absolutely! Do I think a woman should be president? ABSOLUTELY!!! Just. Not. This. One.
