Because …“Content is King” — Bill Gates

High quality content is everything. People have evolved from mere internet users into diverse and discerning individuals who can tell between a lame and a valuable content. It is essential then that you produce quality content all the time to persuade people to read your blog and hunger for more.

Now “quality” can be different in a lot of aspects. It typically depends on the chosen niche because the set of people who are interested on a particular niche have a preference on what they want to read. For example, if it is all about basketball, the audience will be more particular on reading about the latest games, blazing players, which teams play next, etc. Quality now is more about relevance to the trends or being updated and able to predict what’s going to happen next on court. Have that and avid basketball fans will subscribe on your blog.

The same goes with fashion blogs, predicting the next trend could easily make you the next fashion icon to look forward to. Making fashion pieces available before they get super- hot on the racks can be your ticket to becoming rich thru online selling.

But being relevant is just one element for producing high-quality and read-worthy content. The next 9 components listed below are effective blogging tips to develop great content.

1. Originality matters.

Being original does not only concern whether or not your audience can tell it or not. Google has ways to detect plagiarized content and if caught with bad content, Google will stop your site from ranking highly. Remember the rule in life that “you always get what you pay for”. Create something original and reap the credits for it. Wouldn’t it be nice to have content for your blog that is linked back multiple times and you are actually proud to say that you own it?

2. Create Strong Headlines.

Spark the interest of the audience by writing a catchy headline. By statistics, most people would take a look on the titles but only a small fraction of readers actually read the whole article. Entice them into reading the rest of the story by making the title sound exciting. You can do this by trying to tell the whole story in the title alone. This will make the reader hungry for more information and actually click the link.

3. Supplement enough multimedia content.

“Enough” is the keyword here. Use media but not to the point that it overwhelms the whole blog. And before doing so, ensure that the media used meets quality technical standards like clarity and size, it must be aesthetically pleasing, and must support or is coherent with the written article. Images, videos, and audio presentations give more life and relevance if strategically placed. And it is a fact that visual content instantly attracts engagement and gets to be shared more compared to text- only content.

4. Check Proper Grammar and Spelling.

A content’s trustworthiness starts with a well- written piece. Use grammar and spell checkers to your advantage. Avoid typos to make it look like the article is written by a professional. An effective content is one that readers see as worthwhile because it is evident that much work and dedication was spent by the blogger in creating it.

5. Optimize Posts with LSI Keywords.

Latent Semantic Indexing keywords help empower a page by making the article look valuable to the readers. Choose diverse anchor texts, related terms, and in- depth related phrases in writing your thoughts. You do not only make valuable content by doing so but also get your blog noticed by search engines and achieve higher rankings in the process.

6. Keep content rich but brief.

Although there are blogging tips that specify how long it should be, there is really no ideal length for blog posts. What really matters to the reader is the quality of information they will get from an article. Don’t be afraid to write very long article for fear of boring them. The same way that you should not be wary to write short ones because you are afraid there isn’t much juice in them. It can be lengthy or otherwise but either should be filled with good and relatable content for it to be effective and noteworthy.

7. Stock up on great topic ideas.

Spend a moment to list down future topics to save time from thinking about what to write next. Write down these ideas as soon as inspiration hits you to avoid forgetting about them. You may also put a schedule in your WordPress blog as to when you can write your posts then compile the rest of your ideas in one file that will serve as your idea bank. You know where to look should there be a need to write for more content.

8. Internal Linking.

Why refer your audience to other sites if you have former content that is related to what they are reading? Add value to previous posts by linking them as a source to current ones. Have Google index new articles faster by editing old posts and placing links for the new ones. This is one way of making the post SEO friendly so the blog gets optimized without too much effort.

9. Write a well- researched topic.

Proper knowledge on a topic only comes with diligent research. Gather pertinent information like statistics. Although it can be a good source at times, search beyond Wikipedia and other online databanks that can be manipulated by anybody. Look for materials from reliable sources like published research papers, university articles, and books. It goes without saying that you need to cite resources in your article.

Strive for high quality content using these blogging tips and you will be an awesome blogger. The essentials listed above are just some points you need to remember every time you write a new blog post. Practice doing it every single time and it will just look natural and you will be able to write effortlessly but with amazing results.
