I’ll sell you my soul for a couple of likes
Will Barker

Before this class I honestly didn’t realize how much social media actually did affect my self-esteem and my understanding of value. Its crazy to think that someone scrolling through Instagram, not even paying attention and just so happen to like one of my pictures could have such an affect on me. I have to admit, I care a lot about my followers number, and my average likes per pictures. I even find myself deleting old pictures that weren’t as popular, and it makes me think, “i’m deleting these memories, why? Just because not as many people liked them as I hoped would” and it makes me wonder, do we post because we like something, or do we post for the soul purpose of getting positive attention on social media?
