It has been said, what goes up, must come down

Then the same must be true, for white, over brown

.

It was in the aughts, a wise and cautious aviator said:

“Be wary of dependence on ability outside one’s own head”

.

Auto-pilot, AutoNav, fly-by-wire

All easy to use tools, young pilots did desire

.

True to as the aforementioned man spoke,

Fire, blood, and death ensued when the tools broke

.

It has been said, what goes up, must come down

Then the same must be true, for white, over brown

.

Just like a plane flies using those systems and tools,

Our country, and society, run by people, and rules,

.

Racism, Segregation, and red-lining

White power, privilege, and wealth, aligning

.

But just as the demise of the tech dependent pilot has shown,

Danger ensues to those who depend on capabilities that aren’t their own

.

It has been said, what goes up, must come down

Then the same must be true, for white, over brown

.

“Children of the Magenta”, by the wise aviator were they named,

For never flying without the guiding magenta line, they were famed

.

For these young pilots there exists an analogy, you see,

There exists generations dependent on racist tendency

.

While it was known that nothing was worse than being a nigger,

In this Brave New World, emphasis on self ability, will be bigger

.

It has been said, what goes up, must come down

Then the same must be true, for white, over brown
