The Mental Gymnastics of Family Planning
Laura Marie

I’m also “comparison shopping” for pre-baby planning, and as recently mentioned, discovered that daycare in my area is much more expensive than I was anticipating! Due to that, we’re going to plan on overall $1,700/m in expenses. I have a feeling that my mother and mother-in-law will be kicking in with food/clothing/toy costs. My brother-in-law and his wife are having baby #2 in May, so I’m hoping that this will be their last so that we can get all the hand-me-downs and save on a lot of the clothing, toys, furniture, and gadgets (monitoring, white noise, etc.)
