Mike Cannon-Brookes just led the way for Philanthropy 2.0 in Australia
Audrey Melnik

Great piece, Audrey. The philanthropy angle has certainly been part of my conversations over the last few days.

Startup Adelaide has played an active role in the last 48 hours as an independent, not for profit, social enterprise to galvanise industry leaders, both sides of government and the entrepreneurial community to help get #100in100 off the ground.

It’s timely that last night Mike Cannon-Brookes took the evening off from crunching the numbers for #100in100 to attend a charity dinner for one of Atlassian Foundation’s charity partners, raising $2 million for Room to Read. Atlassian’s PledgeOnePercent approach to philanthropy sets a great benchmark for businesses to pledge one percent of their resources to philanthropy.
