Working on a new project requires a lot of patience. Putting big ideas into practice is time consuming and often frustrating. For every new idea implemented, 10 more are added to the “to do” list. This is why I am excited about the next versions of the app I am working on; Tings, because we are *finally* crossing fun things off of our “to do” list with versions 1.2 and 1.3!

I am not going to spoil 1.3, but version 1.2 was recently added to the App Store, and has updates to the voice morphing effects as well as important security and privacy features.

Voice

The most common feedback we received was that it was hard understand a post at times with the voice morph. We want to make sure everyone’s voice is heard, so we made necessary changes to Barbi, Batum and Doyle. So far so great, a lot of people have started to use Doyle more often and we have seen more singing in all three of these voices!

Privacy

Tings is all about Freedom; because users stay anonymous it is about the content you create and not your profile or history. This means that there is a good possibility for some sensitive topics to be posted on Tings (and we encourage it!). In order to make sure no one too curious gains access to your Tings, we have added a passcode/Touch ID feature when opening up the app. This is entirely optional, but is a great feature if you want to keep your Tings secret!

Security

Security is arguably the most important aspect of creating an app today. Knowing your information is safe is a big concern for users. Our developers are particularly fond of 1Password for both generating safe passwords and storing all user names and passwords. In version 1.2 we have added the ability to sync with 1Password when creating your username and password, helping keep everyone’s information safe and secure.

Version 1.3???

Version 1.3 will be live in the next week, and includes even bigger changes to the app! Keep your eyes peeled for the notification!
