The “less is more” philosophy of product design is well articulated here. I’m sure it’s no accident that the post itself is short and to the point. The approach seems applicable not just for designing products but for designing anything, as well as for writing, business strategy, leading others and leading yourself. Focus on what is essential. On what your product or your organization or you yourself are best at. Actively look for opportunities to edit, eliminate, simplify. Of course it takes courage to sacrifice features or sentences or skills or habits or relationships which have some small benefit but are not essential. That is why this approach is much harder to implement than to describe, why simple is so complex.
