My top 6 podcast picks this year so far.
Mike Rowe’s “That’s The Way I Heard It.”

Definitely for the curious mind with a short attention span.
He tells fascinating 5 minute stories. Always with a twist. Teaching you things you never knew about popular culture, politics, hollywood history and more.
It’s one of those podcasts where no episode, once started, goes unfinished.
Not to mention his voice! But don’t get me started…
I’d recommend you begin with Episode 15: Sorry, Wrong Number.
Dan Savage - “The Savage Lovecast”

I know it sounds scary, and it kinda is…
The intro sings “there’s nothing you can’t ask on the savage lovecast.”
Recommended to me by a sassy lady entrepreneur when I met her at a business event, of all places!
I’ll admit I was sceptical, but more curious. The first episode I heard (Episode 501) however, had me in stitches, laughing so hard I had tears streaming down my face.
It’s entertaining, intelligent and… educational.
Come on don’t be affraid, check it out. I know you want to. 😉
“The Tim Ferris Show” – by Tim Ferris

This one is long-form, but worth a listen.
The people he interviews are from all walks of life, and brilliant at what they do.
Tim distills their habits. Some specific to their field, and some general habits to help improve your performance in any area of life.
You’ll always come away with something — a new idea, practical tools or some inspiration.
Here are some of the many I’ve enjoyed:
Inspiring
The Man Who Studied 1,000 Deaths to Learn How to Live
Interesting
Brené Brown on Vulnerability and Home Run TED Talks
Practical
Lewis Howes’ “School of Greatness.”

Sounds a little cheesy and his into is a little cheesy, but he conducts amazing interviews.
Definitely one of my favourite interviewers of late.
He’s interviewed some big names such as Tony Robbins, Larry King, Gary Vaynerchuk an Tim Ferris.
Every interview I’ve listened to so far I’ve loved— so check it out!
“Dan Carlin’s Hardcore History”

I love anything that spurs new ideas and offers unique perspectives.
This podcast does both AND applies it to history.
Dan is a gifted story teller, he won’t disappoint.
Jess Lively — “The Lively Show”

And last but not least — The Lively Show!
This one is very feminine, maybe to counterbalance all the men I listen to, but she’s incredible!
She interviews men and women on a range of topics including travel, relationships, health and business. But does a lot of personal podcasts as well.
My most loved interviews are the one’s with incredible female entrepreneurs that I’ve never heard about.
One of my absolute favourites is Myleik.
Today's Lively Show guest is Myleik Teele, someone I adore following - especially on Instagram - for her straight…jesslively.com
Enjoy! x
