Jetty Welcomes Trio Of New Executives

Patrick Briggs, Vice President of Growth
Kevin Murphy, Vice President of Real Estate Sales
Kevin Dinnie, Senior Advisor

We started Jetty to make life easier for renters by removing obstacles that create friction and stress throughout the rental process.

There was clearly a need. No one we know has ever referred to renting a place as "easy"—usually, a host of other four-letter words come first. And landlords will tell you it isn’t a particularly fun process for them either.

Challenge accepted

Our initial suite of products (Jetty Renters Insurance, Jetty Passport Deposit, & Jetty Passport Lease), which serve as an all-encompassing solution for renters and landlords alike, launched in April 2017 in four states. Less than a year later, Jetty is in 43 states and we’ve become known for saving the day. Not to mention saving people a lot of money, time, and freedom from worry.

Power-Up time

We’ve been thoughtful in our product design, deliberate in our marketing, and patient in our execution.

Today, we’re excited to say it’s paid off: demand for Jetty’s products in the market is overwhelming.

It’s time for our little-team-that-could to invest in growth, via partnerships and awareness and the people who can drive both — while always keeping our members at the center of everything we do.

Welcome Patrick, Kevin, & Kevin

Jetty is thrilled to welcome three new members to the team: Vice President of Growth, Patrick Briggs; Vice President of Real Estate Sales, Kevin Murphy; and Senior Advisor, Kevin Dinnie.

What’s your skill set, what are you good at, and what are you here to do?
As head of the Growth team, I’m responsible for creating customer awareness. This means getting people that need our products to understand why we are the best, as well as educating the people that may need our products but don’t yet understand how they work. My skill set aligns well with this priority at Jetty. I feel that I’m pretty good at understanding what pain-points customers have and crafting messaging that addresses those needs.

What’s something someone would be surprised to learn about you?
I met my wife at His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 70th birthday party in India. Crazy story.

What did you do at your last company that you’re proud of?
At my last company, I was really proud of the creative team and marketing team that we were able to scale up very quickly. The team was really smart and hard-working and drove strong revenue growth in a very short period of time.

What’s your skill set, what are you good at, and what are you here to do?
As Vice President of Real Estate Sales, I am tasked with building and growing our B2B partnerships nationwide. This entails fostering relationships with both single- and multi-property companies across the country, as well as building a team of A-players to strategically penetrate the large renters market. I believe that my background in the real estate industry, coupled with my experience growing a team, will allow me to be successful.

What’s something someone would be surprised to learn about you?
I have 38 first cousins. It's a lot.

What did you do at your last company that you’re proud of?
I built a strong, well-respected team that consistently drove revenue despite very difficult odds.

What’s your skill set, what are you good at, and what are you here to do?
I’ve had the opportunity to work in a lot of different roles and settings over the years in the real estate industry; the skills I’ve acquired range from new transaction underwriting, through asset management and dispositions. Said another way: I developed the skills required to take a real estate investment from the "idea stage" through business plan development, execution, and ultimately to sale.

While these are specific skills, the broad capability I have enjoyed developing the most is managing teams in the US and internationally across multiple languages and cultures.

I have been impressed with the Jetty team’s ability to bring much-needed technology and customer focus to the real estate industry. I view my role at the Company as helping expose the team to the owners, managers and thought leaders in the real estate industry who can best utilize the Jetty platform to grow their revenues through better tenant retention, speed to lease, and ancillary income growth in their portfolios.

What’s something someone would be surprised to learn about you?
I fell in love with real estate earlier than most, as I paid my way through college through a combination of bartending at night and flipping pre-construction condominium units during the day.

What did you do at your last company that you’re proud of?
I had the privilege at Blackstone to be part of the development of the first and largest public institutional single family rental company in the US, Invitation Homes. The opportunity to help grow a company from an idea, to buying our first home for rent, through ultimately building a portfolio of close to 50,000 homes serviced by a national organization of over 1,500 employees has been unprecedented in my career.

The recently-completed IPO and merger of Invitation Homes with Starwood Waypoint Homes has brought this total to over 80,000 homes, and has brought the institutional rental and servicing of single-family homes into the mainstream of the real estate industry.

I would be delighted to be part of a similar growth story at Jetty ☺.
