Without fail, every year children drown in privately owned swimming pools here in Florida. The pool owners involved never even face criminal charges. No politician has ever introduced a bill in Florida to ban private ownership of swimming pools. If there were no privately owned swimming pools in Florida, children’s lives would be saved.

Obviously, Floridians don’t care about the lives of children. Right?
