Pokemon Go is just the tip of iceberg.

It’s easy to wake up today and know there are easily one hundred teams hammering away at augmented reality apps using the smartphone camera. The first one that came to my mind is turning real-life driving into an augmented Forza game. Advisable not to use on real streets, but on race tracks. Attach it to the windshield like many do for GPS use and instead you see the road ahead of you and as you make laps it tracks your path, the entrance and exit lines of the track. Where you throttled and where you’ve slowed down. Lap splits, racing your ghost car’s fastest lap. Overtime on the same track it can aggregate data and show you different lines, the fastest line, the true entrance and exit lines.

The things are really endless with how this can be used. There will be a version of this Pokemon Go that has you go to businesses and capture their mascot and get a free whatever for doing so. It’s a great way to drive business. It would be an interactive GroupOn with real-world perks.
