Books are the best ways to live through the lens of others, get knowledge and grow. With several studies and lots of research, books on financial independence teach how to gain confidence to make wealth in unusual ways. They carry lots of information and inspiration. Below are my recommended reads for anyone ready for financial freedom.

The Richest Man In Babylon by George Samuel Clason

After reading this book, I changed how I handled my money. Clason gives financial tips in straightforward ways. No matter the current state of your finances, this book provides the best ways to start afresh and grow your wealth. With tips like, pay yourself first, live below your means, make money work for you, plan for the future amongst others, you will learn how to become rich. This is a must-read for everyone.

Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki

In this book, Kiyosaki compares his rich dad to his poor dad. Kiyosaki explains how the rich make money work for them, own assets instead of liabilities, mind their own business and live frugally. He stated the rich just like most poor people work hard. The difference lies in the motive for working. The rich work to acquire knowledge which can be applied severally to make more money. This book gives a better understanding of how to manage expenses, income, assets and liabilities.

The Millionaire Next Door by Thomas J. Stanley

If you make so much money yet accumulate so little wealth, then you’re on the end-to-spend treadmill. In this book, the authors expose the lifestyle of the rich. Find out why millionaires are the most frugal people, live below their means and multiply their wealth. Also, check out how to calculate your net worth. Ideal for anyone who keeps up with the Joneses.

The Millionaire Real Estate Investor by Gary Keller

How soon do you want to be rich? According to Keller, little money comes easily, big money doesn’t. He shares secrets of millionaire real estate investors which can be applied to other aspects of life. Learn time-tested strategies, increase your level of risk-taking and get rich slowly. To live a big life, allow your thinking to lead the way. Learn how to find the right opportunities, make the right deals and own the right property. Like he said, anyone can do it but not everyone will do it. Will you?

Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill

How do you think about money? How much do you want to have? How big is your desire? No one becomes wealthy by accident and Napolean Hill takes us through the stages of wealth making. If you can’t see it in your mind, you can’t have it. Have enough desire, faith, confidence backed by a great work ethic to see your wealth dreams come true. Know the emotions to keep and the fears to let go if you want to be wealthy.

The common denominator for all these books is being intentional about making money and working hard.
