Happy Birthday, Jesus!

It’s a holiday all over the earth because of you. It is funny how we all join in the celebration whether we think it’s your birthday or not.

Did you throw a party today? How old are you again? I am wondering if you get excited about your birthday like we do on earth. How did you celebrate it as a child? You got the opportunity to celebrate 33 birthdays here. Was it a big deal then?

Did God get you a birthday present? How about the angels? Did they sing your favourite hymns for you today? Is heaven ‘lit’? Talking about heaven, I heard you are seated at the right-hand side of God. Do you ever get up to stretch?

How was it like when you walked the earth? Did you have crushes? Did you notice all the beautiful women around you? Why didn’t you have a female disciple?

Am I asking too many questions? Did you ever fight in primary school? Did your classmates know you were going to save the whole world from sin? How did they treat you?

Did you eat a lot? What was your favourite food? Were you always praying and preaching? Did you have a social life? Were you vain sometimes? Did you talk back to your parents? Were you disobedient to your parents?

Were you ever confused about your purpose? Did you want to live on earth longer than you did? Why do you think God forsook you on the cross?

Why did you have to be born in a manger? Why did you get the opportunity to choose your parents and I didn’t? Why did you allow Herod to kill all those children at your birth?

I will be happy to read your response to my letter. Happy birthday once again. You’re one of a kind. I love you.
