Need a Quick Job? Miami Employers Are The Quickest To Hire.

Red Lobster has the quickest hiring process of the chain food industry.

According to a Glassdoor study, job interviews across the nation are taking longer than they used to. In Miami, you’re likely to be hired within three weeks — the fastest hiring phase in the U.S.

Last year job interviews lasted on average 23 days, that’s 10 days longer than in 2010 In Miami, the average job interview takes 18.6 days .

Why so long? One of the big reasons is the candidate screening process. For example, between 2010 and 2014, background checks have grown from 25 percent to 42 percent; skill tests have grown from 16 percent to 23 percent; drug tests have grown from 13 percent to 23 percent; and personality tests have grown from 12 percent to 18 percent.

Jobs that take the longest to for candidates to go through the hiring process? Police officers report the longest process (127.6 days), followed by patent examiners (87.6 days), assistant professors (58.7 days), senior vice presidents (55.5 days) and program analysts (51.8 days).

Red Lobster wants you: The consumer service industry, a big player in South Florida, are among the quickest to hire, taking an average of 4.9 days.
