My Month of (Almost) Nothing…
Led to 2014: My Greatest Year Ever!

280 incredible days into 2014, I’m a little late in posting this, but please forgive me… you could say, things got a little crazy aamaaazing! As amazing as this year has been, it might be hard to believe, but I started 2014 off by pretty much doing nothing. No joke!
OK, let’s rephrase that — For the first 19 days of January, I decided to not do a single thing, except for defining, re-defining, writing and re-writing out my goals, clearly! To me, this was worth so much more than anything else I could have done. I knew if I just took the time to do this one (extremely important) activity, I would be saving myself a complete year of regrets, and in hindsight, if I hadn’t had done that, today I would have been wishing that I had. A quick side note: Just because it’s not the beginning of 2015 yet, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t write out your goals. Today is the perfect day to do just that!
So what I did was set many goals, things that excited me, that were insanely challenging but achievable, one of which was to be on and win, “The Amazing Race Canada!” Nailed it (almost)!!
So before I took off running this year, I encouraged everyone to “Make 2014 a BIG YEAR and made this #WriteOutYourFreekinGoals video! Check it out!

This process of writing out my goals got me so beyond excited that I could barely contain myself after those first 19 days of ‘nothing’ in January. It’s been said that if you don’t know clearly what you’re going after, it’s very rare that you’ll ever get there. Seeing and believing in your goals gives you something to look forward to and get excited about.
2014 has been one of the wildest years of my life, and the reason why I’m writing this post today is to encourage you to do “nothing.” Just last week I again took the time to sit down to write and define a few bigger goals that I expect to achieve before the years up.
So cheers to YOU and to 2014: My Greatest Year Ever! — It all started from my Month of (Almost) Nothing… Pretty Amazing!
