“ 146 visits made to 49 countries”

This is the conclusion of Esri UK, a British mapping company that analyzed the travel history of the iconic James Bond throughout his 24 epic movies, including recently released Spectre. That’s just a handful more than the previous world-traveler we featured, who visited 41 countries during the course of his time as Hillary Clinton’s innovation advisor. Bond’s many journeys provide exotic backdrops for his high-flying escapades, which Esri mapped out.

Thinking about the agent’s travels made us realize: Bond was taking jobbaticals long before Jobbatical existed. Rejecting a predictable career path? Check. Seeing the world while working? Check. Work being a wild adventure, rather than a routine? Major check.

Granted, Bond’s work adventures were a bit more, shall we say, high stakes than a typical jobbatical, but that shouldn’t stop you from embracing your inner 007 as you browse through our opportunities. Here’s five James Bond destinations where you can have an international escapade of your own.
