You seem to be having a hard time understanding the way the word “entitled” works. Millennials are entitled because the standard of life provided by western wealth and technology has exploded in the digital age and fortunately or unfortunately millennials live in an environment where they pretty much get everything that they want instantaneously. They are inundated with this lifestyle but fail to make the connection that almost everything they have was given to them by their parents. They become accustomed to the idea that authority figures are responsible for providing them with satisfactory lifestyle. Effort becomes strain, resistance becomes oppression. Hard work is hard, no one is “denying” her dreams, they’re just trying to point out that achieving dreams takes hard work, a lot harder than most of what any millennial has experienced. Tweeting the funny ideas that pop in your head is not hard work.
For the most part, these companies founded and run by extremely hard working people earned their position and status. The population is not “oppressed”, everyone in this country has the freedom to study what they want, to work the job they want, to pretty much do WHATEVER they want. Oppressed doesn’t mean you can be worthless and expect a welfare state to provide for you. They are owed nothing for their work? The level of benefits and compensation today in jobs is unparalleled. Health insurance, retirement contributions, drinks, food, etc… It saddens me to see people like you have this idea that someone not giving you their stuff makes them entitled. Entitlement has to do with expecting something that isn’t yours. CEOs and companies have capital and resources, and it is their choice to do with it what they want. You can’t just make up words and associate them with emotions you feel they sound like. The sheer level of stupidity exhibited by millennials like you is mind boggling.
Go to poor countries in Africa and other areas outside of the west and you’ll notice they don’t have any millennials, they’re too busy trying to find water that won’t give them malaria and a toilet with basic plumbing.
