SOCIAL MEDIA….what an interesting animal….
Six years ago I started posting about my products/opps here.
Friends from work would say “it’s a scam” or “go to school & get a real job” etc.. at first it hurt but I think as time went on it was fuel to the fire.
I kept posting hoping they would ‘wake up’ and take action, with no results other than being unfriended (on FB AND real life) on top of my account put in FB Jail for spamming on my wall & groups.
I finally learned some conversational marketing approaches but people were still skeptical because my entire list was students, workers.. people who had never heard of direct sales..
Once I built up a network of people who had worked from home in the past, believed in the business model, and were open minded to this kinda stuff, results started to come.
People weren’t commenting “scam, spam, or go get a real job” because they do what I do.. they get paid & enjoy their products.. they understand the value of the industry & the networking you can do here.
Now people reach out to me for info about my product of business opportunity…boom!
If they are focused on their respective biz opp & product then they typically buy my books or Project Rock Star so even when people say no to my business I’m still paid.. it’s a win win..
Social media CAN be a huge win win.. it’s about taking the time to build a targeted audience, breaking the ice with them etc.. I will like/comment on their posts like they’re a long lost friend until they start doing the same to mine.. once there is rapport I will reach out to them or vice versa, sometimes they write me first.. and just go from there! Just network and compliment folks!
Because I took the time to break the ice with a lot of you, when I relaunched my book in November last year, hundreds of people bought it without question.. because the relationship was there.. then 100’s of people uploaded selfies with the book for the past 8 months causing it go viral with next to no ad spend..
People were ordering 5–350+ copies in bulk for their team or to giveaway on FB to build their list/increase reach.. my cell phone was lit up with paid speaking gigs, aspiring authors looking for help promoting their first book which caused me to write/publish my 2nd book in March..
I was on the road from March-May promoting new book, working with my team in primary NM company FIT, and I’m about to f*ck this cash up on a new tour in less than 2 weeks.. Chicago, Minneapolis, Dallas, Atlantic City.. more cities & states coming..
PS: I hope that I get to meet some of YOU, my Facebook friends while I’m traveling soon so ya’ll can show me your local coffee spot in your town, or your favorite place to eat….Selfie time! :)
PPS: Build up that targeted audience folks! Choose your platform… Facebook? Twitter? Snapchat? BUILD IT + ENGAGE!
