i wasn’t saying it was comparable, sis. what i was saying is that because of that, i was viewed as a certain type of Black man, and all of those things added to that stigma and stereotype. so unfortunately, me sitting with a White girl made me look less Black to my peers, alongside me raising my hand in class.
