Sheriff Nick Cocchi Endorses Joel McAuliffe for City Council

CHICOPEE — Joel McAuliffe, former aide to Mayor Richard J. Kos, District Director for Senator Eric P. Lesser, and candidate for Chicopee City Council, today announced he has received the endorsement of Hampden County Sheriff Nick Cocchi.

“I am incredibly proud to endorse Joel McAuliffe for City Council. Joel is a man of honor and integrity and I know he will show those same qualities on the City Council,” said Cocchi.

“Joel is an experienced leader who knows how to get the job done. He knows what it takes to represent the people of Ward 1 because he’s done it, both as an aide to Mayor Kos and now as District Director to Senator Lesser. He will be a tremendous asset for his constituents on the City Council,” said Cocchi.

“As the son of an Iraq war veteran, public service is in Joel’s blood. He is driven everyday to do all that he can to make an impact on people’s lives and make his community better. I am honored to know and work with him and I am thrilled to endorse him and pledge my full support to his campaign,” said Cocchi.
