Todd,

I grew up in a poor farm family in Arkansas where I worked hard in the fields as a youth. When I went to college, I was denied any hope of government assistance — not because of my financial position, but was informed in no uncertain terms that I was the wrong color. When applying for a job with the Post Office, I took a required exam which gave additional points to minorities, thus handicapping my chances of landing the job. To me there is only one race, the human race and I hold no ill will against any so-called “race”, but people are always trying to force their racial prejudices on on me. I’ve never knowingly discriminated against anyone for their race, but clearly have been discriminated against because of my race — as a white man!

Please explain to me exactly what this “White Privilege” is that I have received?
