2017: On The Line — Week 4
The lines are looked at vigorously for those trying to make some extra money or those just looking for who is favored this weekend. Before my picks each week, I will list my current win/loss and push record from the previous week with my overall season record. I present to you the Vegas line of each NFL game this week:
Week 3: 5–11
Overall Record: 24–23–0 (51%)
TNF: Bears at Packers (-7)
Packers (-7). Rodgers at home, on a short week, against the Bears? Deal.
London: Saints (-3) at Dolphins
Saints (-3). London screwed me last week with the Jags, and the city can’t do me dirty two weeks in a row.
Bill at Falcons (-8)
Falcons (-8). I do not see how the Bills will be able to keep up with the scoring of Atlanta, in Atlanta.
Bengals (-3) at Browns
Browns (+3). COME ON BROWNIES! Lets do this!
Rams at Cowboys (-6.5)
Cowboys (-6.5). The Cowboys got back on track Monday against the Cardinals and will win by 7. Even with eating 6.5, I get the .5 point margin.
Lions at Vikings (Even)
Lions. Detroit will make sure that they do not get screwed again at the final second.
Panthers at Patriots (-9)
Patriots (-9). I do not trust Cam Newton against the Pats defense, even if they do not have a pass rush.
Jaguars (-3.5) at Jets
Jaguars (-3.5). The Jets beat a team that failed to show up. Fournette will show up and score at least twice.
Steelers (-3) at Ravens
Ravens (+3). This game is always a tough call because it is a gritty game twice a year. I will take the home team.
Titans (-1.5) at Texans
Titans (-1.5). If the margin was a tad larger, I would consider taking the Texans, but Tennessee will prove to be too much late in the game.
49ers at Cardinals (-7)
49ers (+7). I’ll do it. I will take the Browns and the 49ers in the same week. Call me crazy.
Eagles at Chargers (-1.5)
Chargers (-1.5). The Chargers get their first win against a team that had to rely on a 61-yard field goal to win last week.
Giants at Buccaneers (-3)
Buccaneers (-3). The Giants stay win-less because the Bucs are way too upset about the loss against the Vikings last week.
Raiders at Broncos (-2.5)
Raiders (+2.5). This is gut check time for both of these teams. Give me the Raiders who were embarrassed by the Redskins last week.
SNF: Colts at Seahawks (-13)
Seahawks (-13). Sorry Colts, you will not travel well to the northwest and will not win. Heck there will be no contest even with Seattle’s poor offensive line.
MNF: Redskins at Chiefs (-7)
Redskins (+7). Give me the hot defense that is getting 7. Even if it comes down to a 3 or 4 point game, the Redskins will cover. That is if they even lose.
