The Painter’s Eye

The painter’s eye, in meditation free,
does fly from earth to Heaven, from Heaven to earth,
and as movement bodies forth
the forms of things unknown, the painter’s brush
turns them to shapes, and gives to the Spirit World
a local habitation within a frame.
