Education is the answer?

I agree with what you’ve said here. But underlying it seems to be the sentiment that people want to hold true beliefs. Most in our culture don’t care about the truth. They want to be affirmed in their opinions, and they seek out answers that approve of their worldviews. Education isn’t the answer to our society’s ills, because first we have to have a society that wants to be educated.
