Project Management Support for Charities
Free and impartial weekly project management for any charity digital and web projects.
I have been a project manager for the past eight years, managing and helping deliver a range of website projects. I’m lucky to love my job and have worked at some great places from large corporates to small web agencies.
After a hectic start to 2014 (my wife and I celebrated the arrival of our daughter and I began working for Quba), I’m in a position where I can make a few hours spare each week. Therefore I’d like to offer my project management services to any charities working on new or existing website projects.
My day job covers a lot of things, but here are the kind of things I can offer:
- Helping you get a new project up and running;
- Helping with any existing projects that have lost momentum;
- Helping your team get organised;
- Creating or reviewing any project documents (Specifications, Reports or Timelines etc);
- Speaking with any of your third party suppliers;
- Creating wireframes for a website;
- Providing impartial advice on Content Management Systems;
- Pointing you in the direction of some tools and systems that may help;
- Providing project management support to any of your in-house team.
To provide some reassurance, Project Managers can be accredited by a number of organisations, and I am qualified by both PRINCE2 and the Association for Project Managers. You can also view client recommendations on my LinkedIn profile.
This offer is completely free of charge, no catches — there’s only few criteria:
- You must be a registered charity
- I’ll be available for up to four hours each week
- I’ll be contactable via e-mail and phone in evenings (6–10pm UK time) and weekends only
- Your project should last no more than three months
If you’re interested then please do get in touch via the contact page on my website.
The reason for me offering this support is to help charities to make best use of their web presence, which will ultimately help raise much needed funds.
I have volunteered at a local charity for more than five years and in over 20 races have raised sponsorship for local charities (and got stranded in South Africa with one race!). In 2010 I was privileged to be invited to attend a Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace hosted by HRH The Queen in recognition of my charity work.
In short charities have been a big part of my life and I’d like to give something back.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
