Waiting for things to perfectly fall into place or “load” can sometimes be time wasted. It can also be an excuse to not get done what/needs to accomplish. “I’m waiting for the perfect lens.” “I just need to get a better microphone.” “As soon as I get a better camera.” “I’m waiting until I move to ____.”

There are things we can still do in the meantime to get the ball rolling. And more times than not, they can cause happy accidents. Utilizing all the time we have while waiting for our seemingly perfect ideal situation, is time well spent. Learning and figuring out how to make do with what we already have leads to practice. It leads to discoveries of things we may not have thought of before. As we start the beginning of the last part of the year, let’s start using the time we have now while waiting for the things we want. Use your phone camera instead of a dslr. Use your phone as a microphone. Try to learn how to make do with what you have now, it might lead to some amazing outcomes. And above all, you still get to spend utilize your time effectively. When I moved to the pacific north west, I didn’t have my Superman suit. At first I wanted to wait to photograph myself only in the suit. But I didn’t, I figured I might as well explore and take pictures anyway. I took pictures in that Runaways vest. And those pictures are what lead me to being able to work with The Killers.
